The week of Valentine's Day

Hi All!
Valentine's Day is on Friday and I have been reminded of the photo-shoot that I did last February
for some engagement pictures.
It was a super fun shoot, with sweet goodies, lipstick, and kisses :)
Michelle, from Michelle S Rose Photography is a wonderful, super sweet, and talented photographer.
She was willing to work with me in the coldest conditions and we captured exactly what we wanted.
But I thought I would share her post on my blog.
If you are looking for a photographer in the Southern NY area, give her a call.

Saturday morning was cold. Now, upstate NY is always cold this time of year, but Saturday was especially bitter with high winds, cloudy skies, and frosty snow underfoot.

But Franny & I had been planning this session for weeks, and after already postponing once due to a snow storm, we were both anxious to get this session underway.

Franny had come up with the idea of a Valentine's Day inspired shoot. She cut tiny heart confetti, strung a heart garland, bought a new pink dress, picked out perfect pink cupcakes, and had even spent hours online finding the perfect poses she wanted to incorporate into her shoot. Franny is the type of bride I love to work with, because she came to the table with vision, creativity, and passion to complete this session no matter what.

Kevin is Franny's fiance, and he is the perfect mix of casual and sweet, willing to be surrounded with red and pink, kissed with bright lipstick, and spend his morning frozen- all for the sake of his Valentine.

We found the perfect backdrop along Front St. in Owego. We took advantage of the center town park, warmed up in a sweet cafe,  and ventured back out into the cold to get some last shots along the river.

I hope you enjoy looking this session, we had a great time shooting it!
